Hero / Chamberstick Candle Holder

    Chamberstick Candle Holder

    Value

    Designed for various candle diameters.

The spike in the center allows the user to safely fix the candle.

The curved corner is both a handle and a source of ambiguity – it invites the user to interact with it but leaves space for different interpretations.

Natural copper is a perfect match for the subtle and minimalist form.

A discreet coat of transparent polish on the surface of the Chamberstick Candle Holder prevents the copper from changing color and fingerprints from accumulating.

Spacer 1 / Chamberstick Candle Holder

Laser cut and hand bent copper plate, covered with a layer of clear varnish.

Spacer 2 / Chamberstick Candle Holder

    Product

This copper candle holder is a modern interpretation of a classic typology, but unlike the historic chambersticks it’s designed for candles with various diameters. The curved form rising to one side serving as a handle invites to interact with the item. The beauty of the material and its qualities are revealed through the subtle form.

    — What does simplicity mean to you?
Since the big bang the universe is becoming ever more complex. It’s no point going against it wasting a lot of energy, the key is to find clever patterns to achieve it effortlessly.

    — What do notions like timelessness or durability mean to you?
Timelessness and durability are the key strategies of sustainable design and development. Human kind cannot afford more wasteful products that easily fall out of fashion or use.

    — What would you consider the perfect product?
The perfect product is a product which cannot be improved. From paper clips through umbrella to bicycle there are certain clever solutions that when made well with quality materials can fulfil highest expectations while introducing happiness and delight to every moment of life.

    — What sort of item would you consider passing on to your grandchildren? How would you describe it?
When living according to genuine values everything that surrounds us is eligible to be passed to the future generations. Everyday objects can often carry a deeply authentic, symbolic value.
